I had issues with missing parts that took more effort to receive than it should have, but Ducar did come through and send them.

I've never used a tiller but considering the description I expected more. It works great on dirt, but I had to till a large established grassy area and the effort was significant. I had to do each row multiple times at different depths and had to keep the throttle so low I thought it would stall because anything over the minimum and it would buck wildly and try to get away from me. In the future I might 'work' the grass with a shovel before tilling, but seems to me that defeats the purpose.

For the machine itself, it's nice and solid but the oil fill cap and drain plug are placed at about the worst possible spots. In fact I didn't even see them at first glance! They are behind other parts which makes it really hard to access and even with a funnel it was a challenge to fill it up. The shift level also isn't always the easiest, sometimes takes 2-3 tries to end up on F vs. N or reversing tines.

Its average but the price is right and it does the job so I'll give it 3/5.

The rear tine tiller works great. It was very easy to assemble. It is replacing a Champion front tine tiller. There is no comparison between the two, this Ducar tiller is built more solid and does a way better job. In certain loose soils, I basically had to push it through the garden. The Ducar works so much better, with the choice of rotation direction of the tines, it chews up the soil with no effort from the operator. After an hour of tilling, I'm not tired out from pushing. This is a well built tiller, easy to start, shift and operate. I highly recommend anyone to purchase this tiller, for the price it is hard to beat. Don't be afraid to cross shop this against the Troy-Bilt models, this Ducar is the better deal.

Was looking for months for a tiller and came across this one and I was sold. Buying online was easy and it took around 3 business days to arrive. Delivery was awesome very professional and they had all the proper equipment to bring it right up to the door ( 5 star delivery) the machine is easy and straight forward to assemble took like 10 minutes and with ease. Started 2nd pull. This thing is an absolute beast tearing through hard sod while getting deep down it even tears apart the roots to the point where there’s nothing left, but dust without missing a heartbeat. Very well-made and thought out easy to use. I was walking next to it one handed while tearing through the ground like butter. if you’re looking for a heavy duty, well-made tiller look no further this thing will put a troy belt to shine and if you used to using a front tiller upgrading to this one is a complete game changer. It doesn’t jump around easy to start easy to maneuver gear changes are awesome and it mixes the soil to perfection. I highly recommend and if you’re looking for quality and price look no further.
